Stage One: testing instruments and timeframes (new, incl. top-10 stocks) · results coming

Nitro's original A+ built as faithfully as possible, tested on futures, CFDs and the top-10 stocks he trades. Results will be posted here as they finish, each net of the real broker fee, with its equity curve. Research only.

Earlier tests (4 Oct 2026, NQ futures, pre-version-rule)

Kept for the record. These are the fix-loop runs from 4 Oct 2026: Python only, NQ front-month 1m bars, made before the version rule. Every row lost money, so all are rated FAIL. Fee: $5 round trip placeholder, not the real NinjaTrader fee ($4.34 RT for NQ). Windows: one month (15 Aug–15 Sep 2026) and four months (1 Jan–1 May 2026). These are not the standard IS/OOS/HO periods. Profile REPRO-A reproduced 5 of 14 verified video trades. The entry-bar setting is the assumed intrabar fill order: conservative is the lower bound and path the upper bound. Futures only; his stock trades were never tested.
Paused grid (not results): the larger nitro_switches v1.0 grid was paused at David's request on 4 Oct 2026. It completed 3,000 of 6,336 in-sample configs (CRT 3,000/3,456, BOS-FVG 0/2,880). Out-of-sample and holdout were never run, so nothing from it is a result and none is shown.

Code base used · SMT All-in-One + Roman Essentials v0.1

Target stack for Nitro CRT. Versions per /workspace/smt-python/VERSION_LOG.md.

Code base
SMT_AllinOne + Roman v0.1: Python power-test surface pinned 2026-09-25; smt_strategy/allinone/, CLI smt_strategy/run_smt_allinone_roman.py.
Order manager
Roman Essentials Host v0.1 (pinned 2026-09-24). Param bag essentials_params_full.json, version 2026-09-25: 294 params across 11 categories and 37 groups.
Entry plugin
Nitro CRT plugin v1 (nitro_crt_v1, 2026-09-24) is entry-only: it sends entry signals, and Roman Essentials/ZZ manages the trades (size, stops, TP ladder, session, max trades, trailing).
Ninja (reference)
Full SMT Strategy V3 (AllinOneStrategy) on PC2.

Honesty line: today's Nitro CRT backtest (run_nitro_crt_a_rebreak_bt.py, 10 stocks, clean data: −$86,953, PF 0.90, 370 trades) used a simplified Roman-style order-management stand-in (one stop, one target, 0.5% risk, max 2/day), not the full stack. It has not yet been run through the full All-in-One + Roman order manager. Source: smt-python/results/nitro_crt_weekly_clean_2026-10-01/compare_summary.json (STOCKS_COMBINED).

CRT locked rules template one

Template coded in system: Yes · smt-python/templates/nitro_crt.yaml (status mapped) → preset nitro_crt_v2; entry plugin smt-python/entry_plugins/nitro_crt_v2. The 2026-10-04 audit voided the earlier top 20 Nitro rows (run without his 1H bias, grading and news rules); the faithful rerun is in progress.

Mark a 15m/30m/1H candle range (C1). The next candle (C2) wicks beyond C1 high or low and its body closes back inside. On the 1-2m chart, enter on a strong break of the middle candle (C2) extreme; target the opposite end of the C1 range; stop sized so the trade is 1.5R. Best trades 09:30-12:00/13:00 ET, with a clear 1H bias.

Template coded in system: No · No template for this model; generic orb_basic.yaml is not sourced from Nitro.

Mark the high and low from 09:30 to 09:40 ET. Wait for a breakout of that range, then a fair value gap after the breakout; enter when price pulls back into the FVG. Stop above/below the FVG (middle-candle extreme); about 2R target.

1. The CORRECT Way To Use Timeframes In Trading - Timeframe Alignment

4sD-j-uS8vs · Long · uploaded 2025-06-28 · batch 1 · A+ partial

Long (Jun 2025). Timeframe alignment: read the HTF (1H/2H/4H) for liquidity and bias, take BOS-FVG entries on the 1–5m. Two of his own replays: AMD calls long on 20 Jun 2025 to a 4H level, and AAPL puts on 11 Jun 2025, downside only all day. 4 new rules, A+ partial.

Teaches: Each morning he starts on the 1H, 2H or 4H (mainly 1H) and marks liquidity and key levels, including news highs and lows. Those levels give direction (a sweep means expect a reversal) and the targets. The LTF (1–5m) is used only for the entry. Two replays of his own trades: an AMD BOS+FVG call exited at a 4H level (132.27), and Apple puts after an HTF high sweep, downside only all day.

Entry: LTF (1–5m; 2m checked) BOS + FVG in the HTF direction ('breaker structure for rally gap'); exact entry price not stated
Stop: not stated
Target: HTF key liquidity level: AMD 4H level 132.27 (said); Apple: next 1H liquidity / pre-market lows (said)

A+ why: BOS-FVG chain shown on two live-day replays with HTF bias and an HTF target (fits M3/T3/B11), but no 09:30–09:40 range, no stop and no RR stated.

New rules:

  • NEW-P5: Each morning read bias on the 1H, 2H or 4H (1H preferred: clearest candles; 4H harder to read) and mark liquidity/key levels, including news highs and news lows.
  • NEW-E37: After the trade's target sweeps HTF liquidity, no second retry of a later BOS in the same direction.
  • NEW-T11: After the HTF sweep and rejection, target the next 1H liquidity, e.g. the pre-market lows.
  • NEW-B16: Once an HTF sweep sets the bias, trade only that direction for the entire day (no longs at all on AAPL).

Teaches: His 'perfect' setup, which he trades 'basically every single day': clear trend from the open; break of the low of day (the lowest point after 09:30 ET); an FVG after the break; wait for the tap into the FVG and confirmation; 1–5m only; exit at the next 1H high/low. Recap of that day's trade (he says +4.5K in ~10 min; the account screen shows a day change of +$4,562.92).

Entry: Pullback into the post-break FVG + confirmation (short); short position box on screen from ~09:45–09:50 ET
Stop: not stated (short position box shown above the FVG)
Target: Next 1H low (said)

A+ why: Closest Short to the ORB/BOS-FVG chain (trend, strong break, FVG after the break, confirmation, 1–5m, 1H target) but it defines the break level as the LOD since 09:30 (contradicts O1/E16), and stop/RR are not stated.

3. Finding Market Direction Using THIS Concept | Draw On Liquidity

Short (Jan 2025). Draw on liquidity: the 1H session high/low, a sweep and instant reversal, then a 3m FVG toward the opposite level. On-screen tool reads 3.65R. 1 new rule, A+ no.

Teaches: Draw on liquidity: on the 1H mark the key high and low (the highest and lowest points of that session). When price breaks one and instantly reverses, the opposite level is the target and the trade direction. Drop to the 3m for an FVG entry targeting the 1H DOL.

Entry: 3m FVG after the 1H low sweep + reversal (long)
Stop: Not said; on-screen tool stop 23.25 (0.11%) below the FVG
Target: 1H session high (DOL); on-screen tool target 84.75 (0.41%), RR 3.65

A+ why: HTF sweep→LTF FVG model (E29/T7 family), not the CRT or ORB template; on-screen RR 3.65, not 1.5R.

New rules:

  • NEW-B17: Draw-on-liquidity levels = the 1H key high and low = the highest/lowest points hit during that session.

Short (Feb 2025). Daily CRT as a next-day direction filter: break and close back inside, then trade only toward the opposite end. Confirmations only, A+ partial.

Teaches: CRT on the daily for direction: mark the most recent daily candle's high and low. If price breaks one and the body closes back inside, expect a move to the opposite end and look only for setups in that direction the next day. One short and one long example.

Entry: not stated
Stop: not stated
Target: Opposite end of the daily candle (as the day's draw)

A+ why: Valid CRT definition and opposite-end draw on the daily (B14), used only as a next-day directional filter; no entry, stop or session.

Teaches: Live NVDA calls trade, captioned '+$6.3K TRADE USING BOS + FVG': in at an average of '190'; locks half on the first rip, majority at +30%, leaves runners; closes the last at the final target at the high.

Entry: NVDA calls, average '190' (said); long box from ~09:46 ET on screen after a BOS + FVG
Stop: not stated
Target: Final target at a pre-marked high (said); partials at first push / +30%

6. ICT Candle Range Theory (CRT) Simplified & Explained

L3mBLrcB770 · Long · uploaded 2024-09-20 · batch 2 · A+ partial

Long (Sep 2024). Full CRT explainer: daily/4H CRT, then a middle-candle break gate, then an LTF FVG entry. Three replays (NQ, BTCUSDT, META 23 Aug 2024) with structural stops. 1 new rule (CRT on crypto/stocks), A+ partial.

Teaches: Full CRT explainer: mark the first candle's wick high/low; the second candle's wick takes one side but its body must close back inside ("the most important part"); price is then drawn to the opposite liquidity. Find it on the daily or 4H, then wait for price to break the middle candle's opposite extreme before looking for a 1–5m entry; no break = no trade. Three replayed examples (NQ, BTCUSDT, META) each use an LTF FVG entry (BOS+FVG or sweep+FVG), a structural stop and the daily candle's opposite extreme as the target.

Entry: LTF FVG entry after the middle-candle break: BOS + FVG (NQ), liquidity sweep + FVG (BTC, META). Screen: NQ 15m entry ≈19,769; BTCUSDT 15m entry 64,588.01; META 3m entry 531.40
Stop: Structural: 'right above the high' / 'right below the low of this candle' (said). Screen: NQ 34.75 pts, BTC 409.27, META 1.79 (533.19); each stop tag reads Amount 750
Target: Opposite extreme of the daily CRT candle (said). Screen: NQ 54.00 pts (RR 1.55); BTC 1,587.81 (RR 3.88 after dragging to the daily high); META tool first at 2.21 (RR 1.23), then dragged to the daily-low line (final RR not shown)

A+ why: Earliest full CRT explainer. It fits the CRT core (N2, N6, and the E8/E9 middle-candle break gate) but in the 2024 daily/4H form with an LTF FVG entry and structural stops, so it is not the locked 15m/1H + 1.5R template.

New rules:

  • NEW-I4: CRT walkthroughs on NQ futures, BTCUSDT (crypto, Binance) and META (stock): the 2024 CRT is applied across futures, crypto and single stocks.

Short (Jan 2025). Three entry-candle grades, plus a new veto: no trade when price knifes straight through the FVG. A minor contradiction on the third grade (E25). A+ no.

Teaches: Before entering, the entry candle must be one of three types: a full body with no wicks (strongest), a very long wick with a small body (second strongest), or an average candle with 'nothing really too special'. Example 1: liquidity sweep + FVG with a full-body candle = perfect entry. Example 2: perfect BOS + perfect FVG, but price shows 'literally no reaction' and knifes through the FVG = no trade.

Entry: Inside the FVG on one of the three candle types (best: full-body, no wicks); level not stated
Stop: not stated (box shown, no level)
Target: not stated (box shown, no level)

A+ why: Concept clip on entry-candle quality; it adds a no-reaction veto but shows no complete template trade.

New rules:

  • NEW-E38: No trade if price enters the FVG with no reaction and 'knifes right through it', even when the BOS and FVG look perfect.

Short (Nov 2024). Daily CRT with an LTF 'balanced price range' entry, a stop above the middle candle and a target at the daily low (tool 1.64R). 1 new rule (BPR), A+ partial.

Teaches: Daily CRT: mark any daily candle's high and low; the next day's candle breaks one side but its body closes back inside ("pay close attention"); price then moves to the opposite end of that same candle. Drop to a lower TF and enter on a 'balanced price range' candle, stop above the middle candle's high, target the daily low.

Entry: LTF entry candle at a balanced price range (BPR); price not stated
Stop: Right above the high of the middle candle (said). Screen: 12.50 pts
Target: Low of the daily C1 candle (said). Screen: 20.50 pts, RR 1.64, qty 1

A+ why: Clean daily-CRT walkthrough with a stated stop and target, but daily TF, BPR entry and structural stop, so only partly matches the locked template.

New rules:

  • NEW-E39: LTF entry on a candle at a 'balanced price range' (BPR) after the daily CRT.

Teaches: Any trade he takes needs a liquidity sweep or a break of structure first as extra confirmation. Here the BOS confirms the trend, but he does not enter at the break; he waits for price to pull back into an FVG and show a good (strong) reaction, then enters for a low-risk, high-reward trade.

Entry: After the pullback into the FVG and a strong reaction (said); price not stated

11. The EASIEST Way To Find Your Daily Bias Every Day (Full Guide)

NWPxBDj2XN0 · Long · uploaded 2025-05-31 · batch 3 · A+ partial

Long (May 2025). Daily-bias guide: 1H sweep (next-candle reversal) or break-and-hold as the bias trigger, then a 1–5m FVG entry on the highest TF. Same-day 30 May 2025 replays of NQ long (levels readable), AMD short and NVDA short. 4 new rules, 3 contradictions, A+ partial.

Teaches: Daily bias = the HTF 'bigger picture'. Each morning go to the 1H (2H/4H allowed, 1H preferred), mark key highs/lows where price reversed strongly (liquidity). Two bias triggers: (1) a liquidity sweep: a key level breaks and the next 1H candle reverses strongly → bias toward the opposite liquidity; (2) a break of structure / change of character: price breaks a level and holds → continuation bias. Bias is one-sided: take only setups in that direction on the 1/2/3/5m and ignore LTF counter-moves (they may be HTF pullbacks). LTF entry = pullback into an FVG; check 1–5m and use the highest TF that has an FVG. Target: next FVG ('play it safe', his preference) or, riskier, the next liquidity level. A sweep + BOS on the same 1H candle is the clearest bias. Three same-day (Fri 30 May 2025) examples: NQ long, AMD short, NVDA short.

Entry: LTF (1–5m) pullback into an FVG / BOS + FVG in the 1H bias direction; highest TF with an FVG (NQ 5m, AMD 2m, NVDA 1m or 5m). Prices not spoken
Stop: not stated (spoken). Screen only: NQ 5m tool stop 29.75 pts (119 ticks) just under the grey FVG box, 'Amount 750'
Target: Next FVG (preferred) or next liquidity level (said). Screen: NQ tool target 72.50 pts (RR 2.44) at 10:40, then dragged to 258.75 pts (RR 8.7) at 10:52 while he says 'riskier… next level of liquidity'

A+ why: The best long-form source for his HTF→LTF bias workflow (B2/B11/E24/P1) and it adds two new bias details (break-and-hold as a bias trigger; sweep+BOS on one candle as the clearest bias). Entries are BOS-FVG style but tied to 1H levels, not the 09:30–09:40 range, so it is partial for template two and not a CRT.

New rules:

  • NEW-P5: Each morning read bias on the 1H, 2H or 4H (1H preferred: clearest candles; 4H harder to read) and mark liquidity/key levels, including news highs and news lows.
  • NEW-B18: Bias trigger 2: a 1H break of structure / change of character (price breaks a key level and holds beyond it) → continuation bias in the break direction.
  • NEW-B19: Sweep detail: the 1H candle breaks the key low and the very next 1H candle reverses strongly back up.
  • NEW-B20: A liquidity sweep and a break of structure on the same 1H candle is the clearest bias ('short seller heaven', 'one of the craziest setups').

Short (Jan 2025). Fixed HTF to LTF pairing (4H→15m, 1H→5m; the card also shows Daily→1H and 15m→1m). This clashes with the 1H CRT on the 1–2m. 1 new rule, A+ no.

Teaches: Use the HTF for direction and the 'aligned' LTF for the entry, with a fixed pairing: 4H → 15m and 1H → 5m (said); the on-screen list also shows Daily → 1H and 15M → 1M. Example: a clear 1H liquidity sweep says price will drop → look only for shorts → on the 5m take a clean FVG entry.

Entry: 5m FVG, entry on the candle he points to (price not stated)
Stop: not stated (short position box shown, no label)
Target: not stated (box drawn down from the entry, no label)

A+ why: Generic HTF-bias + FVG tip. Useful for the fixed HTF→LTF pairing map, which conflicts with the 1–2m entry used for a 1H CRT in the locked template.

New rules:

  • NEW-E40: Fixed HTF→LTF pairing ('aligned time frame'): 4H → 15m and 1H → 5m (said); the on-screen card also lists Daily → 1H and 15M → 1M.

Short (Aug 2024). A 4H candle sweeps the previous-day low and closes back above it, then a 5m sweep + FVG long to the previous-day high (tool 3.24R). 1 new rule, A+ partial.

Teaches: On the 4H, look for a level where price takes out the previous day's low and closes the candle body back above it. With the low taken, price is attracted to the high of the previous day's session. Drop to the 5m for a valid entry model: price takes LTF liquidity, an FVG forms, enter when price comes back into the zone. Stop right below the low of that candle; target the HTF high marked out. The replay runs up to the previous session's high.

Entry: 5m liquidity sweep + FVG, entry when price returns into the FVG (price not stated)
Stop: Right below the low of the candle (said). Screen: 11.25 pts (45 ticks), Amount 750
Target: The HTF high = previous day's session high (said). Screen: 36.50 pts (146 ticks), Amount 1,811.11, RR 3.24

A+ why: Early (Aug 2024) CRT variant: the daily range is swept and closed back inside on a 4H candle, then entered on a 5m sweep + FVG with a structural stop. Same family as 9BNp/9Iir (partial), not the locked 15m/1H + 1.5R template.

EAQYWiOOAHk · Long · uploaded 2022-11-28 · batch 4 · A+ n/a

Long (Nov 2022). Volume-profile tutorial: trade the retrace into a high-volume node price left, avoid volume gaps, use it as confirmation. 4 new rules on a topic missing from the 126. A+ n/a.

Teaches: Volume profile = volume by price (the volume bars turned on their side). Find the price levels whose bars stand out; the direction price left that level tells you who is in control (a big node price dumped away from = sellers in control). Trade the retracement back into that zone in the direction of the original move (puts/short, stop above the highs). Volume gaps (thin areas) mean chop and weakness, and he usually avoids levels with them. Use it as a confirmation tool, not a touch entry. Fixed range is 'usually best'; he personally prefers visible range. Old stock/options era (Nov 2022).

Entry: Retracement back into the high-volume zone, in the direction price left it, after confirmation (exact trigger not stated)
Stop: Above the highs (for the short/put example, @02:03); size not stated
Target: not stated ('depending on your parameters', @02:22)

A+ why: Volume-profile zone retracement. No C1/C2 range (N2) and no 09:30–09:40 range or FVG (O1–O3). Maps to neither template; rules land as tip rows.

New rules:

  • NEW-M8: Volume-profile zone model: find the high-volume node(s) that stand out; the direction price left the node tells who is in control (dumped away = sellers); trade the retracement back into that zone in the original direction (put/short off a selling node, long off a buying node).
  • NEW-E42: Volume profile is a confirmation tool, not a touch entry: when price reaches the volume area, wait for confirmation (rejection), maybe one more test, then take the trade.
  • NEW-S18: Volume gap (thin volume zone) = chop and weakness; he usually avoids levels that have volume gaps. At a gap price either busts straight through or rejects and drops.
  • NEW-P6: Profile type: fixed range is 'usually best' (no bias); he personally prefers visible range (changes as you zoom). Your choice.
