IG Reel · 10AM EST open + rejection block Reel

“Topstep BANS me for making way to much money (100k/m) Comment “10AM” for the exact guide is use on a day to day basis” — caption, verbatim
What he says and shows (from the audio + frames)
Step one: on NQ, mark the 10am EST open; it decides which way he trades.
Example 1 — short (chart dated Fri 14 Aug ’26): previous day high taken and higher draws on liquidity taken out, price manipulated to both sides of the 10am open → looking short. Rejecting off a rejection block, heading back to the 10am open. Entry trigger: a 5-minute close below the 10am line, tapping a 1-minute rejection block (chart label “RB - 1M”) with an imbalanced order block. Set a limit short, target previous lows. On-screen position tool reads: Stop 8.50, Target 56.50, risk/reward 6.65.
Example 2 — long (chart dated Tue 11 Aug ’26): 10am open marked, manipulation of one or both sides (both here), previous day low swept, 15-minute rejection block below (chart label “RB - 15M”, “PDL”) → looking long. Shift to the upside, imbalanced order block at the 10am open (chart label “10AM OPEN OB”). Set limits long, target previous highs.
Close: offers his “exact checklist” free for commenting “10am” (lead magnet; not on this page).
Not stated in the reel: stop placement rule, risk per trade, max trades, news rule. Stop/target numbers above are only what the drawing tool shows for example 1, not a stated rule. Topstep/100k claims are his own, unverified.
Reel cover — “Topstep BANS me…”Ex 1 short (14 Aug ’26) — RB 1M, tool: stop 8.50 / target 56.50 / RR 6.65 (at 0:36)Ex 2 long (11 Aug ’26) — PDL sweep, RB 15M, 10AM open OB (at 0:54)

[000.0-003.7] So top step is probably going to ban me from using this strategy because I'm up over 100k
[003.7-004.7] on the month using.
[004.7-008.2] And top step keeps moving me in a lot, account after account, and I'm honestly tired of it.
[008.2-010.4] So I'm leaking the strat so you guys can help me rinse them.
[010.4-017.1] First step of the strategy is going to NQ and marking out your 10am EST
[017.1-018.1] which way we're trading.
[018.1-021.8] Now that we've set previous day highs and took out all of our higher DOLs, and we've manipulated
[021.8-024.2] to both sides to 10am open, we're going to be looking short.
[024.2-027.4] Now that we are rejecting off this rejection block, we're making our way back down to our
[027.4-028.4] 10am open.
[028.4-029.5] We're going to wait for an entry trigger for entry short.
[029.5-032.9] Now that we've broke below our 10am with a 5 minute close below our line, we're tapping
[032.9-035.5] off this 1 minute rejection block, and we have an imbalanced order block.
[035.5-038.3] We're going to set our limit short and target previous lows.
[038.3-040.9] Same exact thing here, mark out your 10am EST open.
[040.9-043.8] Once you mark that 10am out, we look for manipulation of one or both sides, we've
[043.8-044.8] manipulated to both sides.
[044.8-048.4] We've just swept previous day lows, and we have a 15 minute rejection block below.
[048.4-050.5] So what that means for us is that we're going to be looking long.
[050.5-053.4] Now that we're shifting the upside, we have an imbalanced order block at our 10am open.
[053.4-056.0] We're going to set our limits long and target previous highs.
[056.0-059.2] If you want access to the exact checklist I use to catch trades like this on a daily
[059.2-061.9] basis, comment 10am and I'll deem it to you completely free.
NQ Motion Model · Core Concepts reference 3 pages
Kasen’s “NQ MOTION MODEL — Core Concepts Reference” sheet (pages 1–3), sent by David as screenshots 4 Oct 2026. Text below is transcribed verbatim. Sheet footer: “Educational material only. Futures trading carries substantial risk of loss.”
“Core Concepts — The reference sheet for the model — risk, structure, levels and entries, on one page each. Read it before the session, not during it.”
Risk & psychology
Win the first trade — Done for the day
Lose the first trade — De-risk 50%
Lose the second — Done for the day
Win the second — Done for the day
Minimum reward-to-risk — 1:3 — every day, no exceptions
Stop-loss range — 5 point minimum · 10 point maximum
These rules outrank every setup in this document.
AMD — Accumulation, manipulation, distribution
Find an area of accumulation, then manipulation, then expect distribution in the opposite direction of the manipulation.
Manipulated down → expect up. Manipulated up → expect down.
Look for accumulation, then manipulation into a key level, and enter expecting distribution toward your target.
Previous day high / low
The daily is the most powerful timeframe.
Bullish daily candle → expect the high to get taken.
Bearish daily candle → expect the low to get taken.
CISD & order blocks
The CISD candle should sweep something or tap a PD array for higher probability.
Below true day open when bearish. When bullish, aim to get above true day open from below.
When price comes back and tests a level quickly, that is a CISD.
Order blocks can take longer to be tapped into.
Down-closed candles should support price going up. Up-closed candles should support price going down.
A CISD paired with an FVG inversion is a strong CISD — more confluence.
Key opens
18:00 · 00:00 · 09:30 · 10:00 · 13:00
08:30 — only when there is news.
09:00 can be good when properly aligned.
Key opens combined with a 1H order block usually deliver.
Market maker models
Usually begins with an original consolidation, then a buyside curve.
Precision entries need context — for example an unfilled NWOG.
Breakers are the biggest part of market maker entries.
Wick theory
4H is one of the best timeframes for the wick CE. 1H, 15M and 5M also work.
You need a bias to know where price wants to go for the day.
Engineered liquidity is what makes it a good entry.
Top-down analysis
The order to run every morning, before anything else.
Daily previous high and low
Key opens
Equal highs and equal lows
Market maker models
4H and 1H CISD
1H PD arrays
Rejection blocks
A rejection block is the start of a wick.
The fib can be placed on the wick for OTE.
They produce excellent reward-to-risk, and they appear on every timeframe.
They are scary to enter — most people close a position the moment it moves against them. “The best trade is the scariest trade.”
Best way to use them: — It taps into your PD array or area of interest — Wait for a retest into it
What makes it a rejection block: — Rejects a PD array such as an FVG — Sweeps a high — Equal highs form below
Fibonacci
Use the fib as a safety net when you miss the first entry.
Price usually gets aggressive at 0.705.
The fib works well with AMD — combine it with your other levels.
Opening gaps
Price often taps back into the NWOG, and it is filled most of the time.
An unfilled NWOG is a free bias — it gets filled at some point.
The reward-to-risk allows near-blind entries, if you are being smart about it.
Do not overtrade. Sticking to the 5-minute timeframe alone is an improvement for most traders.
Gap fills
Use the complete FVG fill as a confluence.
Imbalanced order blocks
An imbalance inside an order block.
Validate a higher-timeframe order block with an FVG inside it on a lower timeframe — for example a 1H order block containing a 15M FVG.
Once you find the order block and the imbalance inside it, use the fib on that range for a better entry.
Combine: — 1H order block — 15M or 5M FVG — Fib
Focus on the 1-hour and below; avoid the 1-minute.
Pay close attention to the inverse FVG 50%. On 5M and 15M, enter at the 50% mark.
