Farm Proceedings, Schedules & Watchdogs

This page holds the proceedings record, the standing procedures, and the scheduled jobs and watchdogs. Every known farm cron job, scheduled task and watchdog: who owns it, when it runs (Brisbane time), and its last run. Anything we have not checked is marked status not confirmed.

To add or update a job, edit /dev/farm-schedule/jobs.json (fields: id, name, owner_bot, schedule_brisbane, schedule_et, what_it_does, last_run, last_status, active, notes, optional catch_up, source) and bump as_of. Never invent a last run: use null and status not confirmed. Rows marked live read their status file when the page loads.

Procedure

Nitro end-to-end proceed document, version one, 4 Oct 2026

Proceed signal. When the user says "proceed" or "end to end", that one word authorises every stage below, in order, through to done. Don't re-ask between stages. Only "hold" or "stop" pauses the lane. A result that lands starts the next stage automatically unless the user has said hold.

Stages

  1. Scrape. The trader's top 20 long videos and top 20 Shorts by views, at full depth: captions (or whisper when there are none), frames, contact sheet, card, live views, upload date. Done when all 40 are carded or the failures are logged in FAILED.md. Report the count, the failures and the A+ examples.
  2. Extract. Build the master scope document in Berg format, following Part 2. Done when the deduplicated master list, master playbook, contradictions table and totals are complete. Report the category counts and the top gaps.
  3. A+ definition. Lock the trader's A+ setup as the "<setup name> locked rules template one", with a checklist and NinjaTrader-style parameters. It feeds the Roman and ZZ entry contracts: the entry setup only, not the SMT body. Done when the template is on the trader's Dev page.
  4. Code. Code the missing rules first, then the partly coded ones, in one universal codebase with the trader as a settings template. Back up before every change. New settings default to off. Each rule gets a unit test plus a smoke run on clean data. No tuning and no performance claims. Done when every codeable rule is coded. Report what's newly coded, what's blocked and why, and the before and after counts.
  5. Contradictions. Each one becomes a switchable setting, flagged in the code and the document. Never pick a side silently. A mismatch with no clear answer stays flagged as unresolved.
  6. Publish. Dev site only, through the Dev publishing agent: the trader page sections, the top-ten video page, the scrape badges and the rule-extraction tags. Done when the URLs are verified live. Report the links.
  7. Test hand-off. The locked rules go to the backtest lane on the farm map: in-sample tune, then out-of-sample once, then holdout once. Commission comes out of everything, with the standard label and end metrics. Failures stay visible. Done when the results are reported.

Every hand-off reports: what finished, the counts, what's blocked and why, the links or file paths, and the next stage that's already started.

Never without asking: production pushes, money or sends, inventing a stop, target or other unstated rule, or presenting in-sample results as final.

Procedure

Top Traders playbook building procedure, version one, 4 Oct 2026

  1. Inputs. The stage 1 deep cards: timed transcript, frames, contact sheet and card for each video or Short. List videos with no rules (vlogs, psychology talks) as no-rules and skip them.
  2. Extract per video. One row per rule: rule ID, section, rule text, model, and source as video ID at a timestamp. A stop, target or time the trader never says is written "not stated", never guessed. Log the trader's profit, win-rate and RR figures as claims, not facts.
  3. Deduplicate. Merge the same rule from different videos into one row and add each source to it. Rule IDs never change once issued. A new rule gets the next free ID in its section. Count new rules and confirmations separately.
  4. Label against the real code, not old runners:
    • Coded: it exists and works.
    • Partly coded: a module exists but isn't wired in, or is wired in wrong.
    • Missing: no code at all.
    • Judgement call: discretion that can't be made mechanical.
    • Not stated: something the trader never says.

Note whether each one is Python only or also NinjaTrader.

  1. Master playbook, at the top of the document:
    • The model in one paragraph, and a session clock in ET with the user's local time.
    • The totals tables: overall, by section, and by model.
    • The master rules list, grouped by label, with every source cited.
    • Per model: the check sequence, then the if-then decision tree, the stand-aside list and the grading.
    • A table of where the per-video playbooks differ.
    • The new code needed, listed as NinjaTrader-style parameters in Roman's Essentials groups plus an entry-plugin group.
  1. Contradictions table. One row per conflict, with both sides and the video and timestamp for each. Flag a mismatch with no clear answer as unresolved. Never pick a side.
  2. A+ examples table. Each clip that matches the A+ template, with its video ID, timestamp and the rule IDs it shows. List partial fits separately, with what's missing. Note any disagreement with an earlier keyword card.
  3. Appendix. A rule table and short playbook for each video and each Short that teaches a setup, using that video's timestamps only. Indicator and tip clips are listed only. Add a CSV with one row per rule.
  4. Feeds the next stages.
    • Stage 3: the A+ examples, grading and check sequence become the locked rules template.
    • Stage 4: the missing and partly coded rows, in that order, become the coding queue, using the parameter names from step 5. Contradictions go in as switchable settings.
  1. Done means: every source is processed or listed as no-rules, and every rule has a source, a timestamp and a label. The totals add up, the contradictions and A+ tables are filled in, the CSV matches the document, and timestamps are spot-checked against the cards.
  2. Report at hand-off:
    • The totals by label and by model.
    • New rules versus confirmations.
    • The top gaps in priority order.
    • New contradictions.
    • The A+ examples.
    • Caveats, such as Python only or unverified claims.
    • The file paths.
    • That stages 3 and 4 have started.

1.Video scraping — top 20 long videos and top 20 Shorts at full depth.
2.Rule extraction — into the master rules document with rule IDs.
3.Spec building — write every rule in full as a parameter list before any data is run (locked rules template).
4.Coding in Python.
5.Trade reproduction test — feed the trader’s verified video trades through the code as-is; a trade only counts if entry time, price and direction all match; every miss names the blocking rule. Runs after coding, after every forensic test or logic fix, and before any backtest counts. Reproduction test entry →
6.Forensic test.
7.Parameter sweep / optimisation — across all settings as variables.
8.Backtesting — in-sample tuning January to April, then locked out-of-sample and holdout.

Entry 4 · Deep scrape procedure (standing)
4 Oct 2026All traders / standing procedureVideo scraping: Top Traders deep scrape procedure (standing, 4 Oct 2026)
Procedure: the top 20 long videos and top 20 Shorts by views, at full depth: captions (or whisper transcripts when there are none), frames every 3 seconds plus scene changes, a contact sheet, a card per video, live views and upload dates. Failures are logged in FAILED.md. Scrape badges go on the top-ten pages, plus sections on the Dev trader page.
Nitro record: 20 long videos done, 108 rules extracted. 20 Shorts done at full depth with 0 failures, adding 18 new rules and 17 confirmations, so the master has 126 rules. Badges are live on all ten top-ten pages, Nitro shows 58 deep-scraped, 0 transcript only and 224 not scraped, and the pages are phone-friendly (tables scroll in their own box).
Entry 5 · Backtesting procedure (standing)
4 Oct 2026All traders / standing procedureBacktesting procedure (standing, 4 Oct 2026; stage 7 of the proceed document)
Locked rules go to the backtest lane on the farm map. In-sample: tune 1 Jan to 30 Apr only. Out-of-sample: 1 May to 31 Jul, run once unchanged. Holdout: 1 Aug onward (data currently ends 14 Sep), run once as the promote gate. $5 round-turn commission comes off every trade. Every result carries the standard label in order (test number, instrument, length in words, average trade, profit factor, win rate, equity curve) plus David’s end metrics (average signed ticks per trade, average net $ per trade, win rate, trade count, drawdown). Rank by net with at least 100 in-sample trades; setups below that are diagnostic only. Failures stay visible, and no in-sample result is presented as final.
Entry 6 · Reproduction test (mandatory)
4 Oct 2026All traders / standing procedureReproduction test (mandatory, added 4 Oct 2026)
When: after coding, after every forensic test or logic fix, and before any backtest result counts.
What: feed the trader’s known verified trades from their own videos through the code as-is (locked rules, default settings, no tuning) on clean data. Each trade must match on the same entry time (within one bar), the same entry price (within a stated tick tolerance) and the same direction.
Result: reproduced count out of total, with each trade marked reproduced, partly reproduced, missed (naming the blocking rule) or untestable.
Gate: if the code doesn’t catch the trader’s own trades, the logic is off before any backtest matters. Backtest and forensic results are only published next to the latest reproduction score.
Lane: part of proceed document v2 / Top Traders end-to-end lane, stage 7, before the test hand-off.
Entry 7 · Dashboard stats (standing decision)
4 Oct 2026All traders / standing decisionDashboard stats (standing decision, 4 Oct 2026). Decision: each trader lane’s dashboard stats are tracked and reported alongside the schedules, watchdogs and proceedings.
Stats tracked per lane:
  • Rule counts by label: coded, partly coded, missing, judgement call, not stated, plus totals by model. Nitro now: 126 rules (coded 83 / partly 15 / missing 4 / judgement 21 / not stated 3).
  • Scrape counts: deep-scraped, transcript only, not scraped, rule extraction. Nitro now: 58 / 0 / 224 / 20.
  • Backtest results for in-sample, out-of-sample and holdout: the standard label plus David’s end metrics, net of $5. Nitro: no locked results yet.
  • Blockers, with the reason for each. Nitro: no red-folder news calendar, no options data, NinjaTrader side is stubs.
  • Average trade: net dollars per trade after the $5 commission. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Win rate: as a %. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Test length: the time span the backtest window covers, written in words, e.g. ‘four months test’ for in-sample Jan to Apr, ‘three months test’ for out-of-sample May to Jul, ‘six weeks test’ for holdout 1 Aug to 14 Sep. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Max drawdown: $, net of commission. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Biggest win: $ net. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Biggest loss: $ net. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Average win: $, net of the $5 commission. Nitro: not yet run.
  • Average loss: $, net of the $5 commission. Nitro: not yet run.
Where they live: rule counts in each lane’s master scope document and its csv (Nitro: /workspace/nitro-setups/nitro_scope_2026-10-04/). Scrape counts in the scrape_status.csv behind the badges, and on the top-ten pages. Backtest results in the backtest lane’s output folders and on the dashboard pins.
How they’re updated: every stage hand-off refreshes the numbers. Rule counts change when extraction or coding lands, scrape counts when the badge script is re-run, and backtest stats when each window finishes. Each update also adds a proceedings row.
